Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood following the release of an album of raps. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came from the trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum started to study hip-hop during her teens. Concentrating on school she studied journalism as well as women's studies in college even studying Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. Following graduation, she decided to pursue music as her main focus. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. This album also featured popular hits that went viral, such as body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown the city of New York Bitche$. The track that was the last one to be closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, released in the year 2015. After a successful career as a performer She chose to assume the role of actor. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout performances included Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her EP "In Fina We Trust".
